Our Private Christmas Celebration

Our private family Christmas was so fun this year. Ryan Michael understood what was going on and enjoyed opening gifts. We had so much fun exchanging blessings with one another.
Here Ryan shows his Dad his new toy. It is a science project where we can take care of an egg and eventually hatch a little toy dinosaur. He was so excited.. there was no need for another gift :)

My turn to open a gift. We loved being huddled in our living room that morning.

Mike helps Ryan open his first big box of legos. This has been a wonderful toy all year.

Dad and Ryan with a play dough toy.. Ryan's face says it all... He couldn't wait to fiddle with it.

Ryan had a friend who loved to dress up in superhero costumes.. so we thought we would provide a soldier uniform and read Ephesians to him. It was a great way to teach him who he is in Christ. He loved dressing up!

The final gift of our morning was a scavenger hunt for Mike. Each clue lead him to a different side of the house and eventually over to the basement in my Mom and Dad's house where he discovered an inversion table. Although he really didnt like my method of giving this gift, (he was SO grumpy hence no pictures of this fun exercise...) he was pleased with his gift. Once at the Pixlers, we were able to start our third celebration with my side of the family. The feast continued...
