Christmas Arrivals

They came to meet Ryleigh immediately. Ross and April were excited. They were expecting as well and hoped to find out if they were having a girl or a boy while on this trip. We were all so excited to discover what God was blessing them with; a boy or a girl? We couldn't wait to find out!
Dakota was the most captivated. She was being prepared for a new baby in her house.. but she wasnt so sure about it. She studied this little Ryleigh carefully...

..but it only took a few minutes at home for her to warm right up! She loved the baby and was floating around her the remainder of the trip!

Little Ryles loved being held by her Aunt April! While Ry-ry LOVED to bust up his uncle...

While Ry-ry LOVED to bust up his uncle!!!

...or was it the other way around? Ryan Michael soon learned who was boss!

...but that didn't stop Ryan from attempting to challenge him!!!

After their crazy wrestling match.. Ryan chilled on the couch while Dakota read a book to him.

Ryan was thrilled. How many marriages look just like this, but with older children??

After our son recovered, he asked his uncle to draw a picture of his experience in Iraq. We all thought that was an interesting request and smiled. The adults all migrated downstairs where we lost track of Ross... who apparently stayed in the playroom to produce this...

So.. My brother is a genius in mathematics.. nuclear engineering.. leadership and survival.. dancing, skiing, scuba diving, politics, etc.etc.etc..... oh AND art. Of course. I should have known.. the Midas touch is evident once again! It might be better to list what he is NOT good at! This drawing was worthy of a pix.. nice job Ross.. great depiction for a three year old on a doodle board! ;)

Mike and I enjoyed the children while everyone was visiting.. Here is Mike holding Ryleigh and Dakota...

... and then my turn to hold the girls!

The last to arrive was G-Papa! He burst through the door that evening and held on to grandson. It was emotional and touching. But with his presence, Christmas was going to be special!

Ryan slept soundly that night....

...as did little Ryles!
