Ryan's 3rd Birthday Party

So a week after being released we celebrated Ryan's Birthday. We had all our neighbors, our Life Group, and our family over. We had a great time celebrating life, literally!
Uncle Ross and Aunt April sent a COOL new toy too. They knew how much Ryan was enjoying baseball, so they sent a automated T-ball machine! All the kids loved playing with it. In fact, this toy was loved into repairs many times over the winter! Here our neighbor's youngest boy Charlie is attempting to make contact with the ball. He has some great tutors all around him!!

We borrowed a bounce house from Kim and Chris for this event. It was a wonderful success. umm... this toy was also loved into repairs... we lost a handful of children out the back of the bouncer... No serious injuries, thank God!

At one moment, Mike and I got a chance to step out away from our friends and family and look at everyone with whom God has blessed our lives. It was humbling and our sense of thankfulness was overwhelming. We are so amazed by our friends. Thank you for being a part of our lives!

Finally, it was cake time! Ryan had requested dinosaurs bones on his cake. Really. I tried to suggest a dozen other options... to no avail. So we had a dino-bone cake! Ryan was so happy. We still have those dino-skeletons around the house... somewhere!

The night ended with a campfire. Ryan was mesmerized by the flames... ummm apparently so was Paulo! The two bonded without saying a word. It was a great evening, thanks to all our friends who made it special. Happy Birthday Baby Boy!
